Will he sign? He still has 1 year, so maybe he goes back to school for 1 more year? May be a good idea if he can avoid the Bucs.

The rules weren't changed concerning next-year's-draft compensation picks for this-year's draft non-signers, right? (e.g., if the Pirates don't sign Mark Appel, they'd get pick #9 next year, on top of whatever their pick in 2013 would be.) I don't remember reading anything about changes in that area.

You are the MLB contract expert. If anyone else had asked, I would have expected you to chime in.

As it is, I have not heard anything either, so I assume it is still the same.

I'd like someone to tell me whether I should be pissed off or not.

One name that has been thrown around a lot is Ty Hensley. 6-5 HS RHP. Compares nicely to Horse. Prob is that his stock has been rising in the last few weeks. We would luck out if he is still avail at 20.

Insult to injury: The Dogs pick at 18.

Keith Law getting the news a minute or so ahead of MLB Network

doosh is bragging about beating MLB to the punch, but is now taking a break after the Muts.

Even when he does a good job, he finds a way to be slimey about it.
