I'm sure all of us would gladly take a 40% pay cut just to be in the presence of Elway and whatnot.... as to his opting out that is true BUT none of that money was guaranteed so if he'd opted in the Niners would've just cut him. They weren't going to pay him 14 million a year. Opting out let him explore other opportunities earlier. As it turns out there weren't many. Hes mot going to win his collusion case but let's not pretend hes mot signed for any reason other than his protest. Theres no argument to be made claiming hes not one of the 96 best quarterbacks in the world

One of the top 96?
That doesn’t guarantee employment by any means. I would speculate that some QBs coming out of college are undiscovered gems that never get a shot.

Why do people fail to forget he compared the Baltimore Ravens owner to a slave owner in a tweet and this was when Baltimore was thinking about signing him...........What team wants to deal with shit like that.

The guy made $20 million off six years in the NFL after being adopted and raised by white parents, and he went on a political tirade about how unfair life was to him because he was biologically half black. He's a legit piece of chit.

This is true. Prior to the season, Kap met with both Lynch and Shanahan and was told by Shan/Lynch that if Kap did not opt out the team was going to cut him so he should opt out to get an early start on FA. Lynch said this happened in an interview and it is not surprising as Shanahan does not want running/read option QBs. If Kap had not protested or said the things he did he would probably be on a roster somewhere. Teams just don't view what he brings as worth the attention he brings. A top 5 QB can protest and he will still be playing in this league.
