Sub France in with 1 out and runner on 3rd just to watch him swing at pitches out of the zone.

Brilliant

Mr. France is in a league of his own right now and not the good kind either. Ouch man.

No reason to not get that man in from 3rd. And we're obviously not going to rely on Moore to get him across either.

Take the win for sure.

Cleveland decided to be a bad as the M's at moving the runner in late innings.

Look at that... Mr. Haniger is so damn clutch! So nice to have him back. Be really nice to get France going again.

At least it'll guarantee a split.

Castillo going against a 2-11 with a 4.43 ERA pitcher tomorrow. Please offense, don't suck against this guy.
Decent chance to take the series.

How about that Mitch Haniger guy? Pretty good addition to the lineup, I'd say.

I’m a fan of this. MLB should be calling up and sending down umps. There are a whole lot of blind guys that they call Major League umpires that could use some time in A ball to get their calls right.

Until he's standing at home plate in the WS you have zero to crow about. He's doing exactly what everyone thought he'd do.

It does not change how bad the rest of the lineup is and how much better the teams chances of going deep in the playoffs would be had they added something at the deadline.

Every single team they are up against did more at the deadline.

Getting that second one was huge given Gilbert's recent struggles. The match up predictor gave the edge to Cleveland yesterday around 51%. They give better than 60% to Seattle the next two with Castillo and Ray taking the hill. Grab either and they are solid for a while.

I was worried that getting our "top hitters together for the first time in like 180 days" would cause the team to stop hitting, this team has always done better when someone's down and the rest of the team is carrying them. like Griffey in 95. Its like when one is out of the lineup everyone else works a little harder to make up for it and when we get our top hitters together everyone relaxes.

That and I think that 14 game win streak wore these guys out and they still haven't recovered yet.

What was odd about that streak was they didn't all look like they were only swinging for HR's. They were stacking up base hits and keeping rallies going.

Now it's swing as hard as you can at everything. Julio is back in that frame as well. It leaves them swinging at every breaking pitch that starts inside the zone, but breaks out.

They all believe if they don't hit a HR in this at bat the team won't win. Or at least it looks like that is their approach right now.

They opted to go the pitching and defense route, which is fine. These can get you far too, not just offense. So the cry for more offensive help when they have top tier pitching and defense is an odd one.

All you have to do is look at their 1 run games record last 2 seasons…. They are very good with it. It’s absolutely not a fluke at this point.
