Some M’s injury updates:
— Matt Brash threw a bullpen today in AZ and mixed in some sliders. Not yet throwing at max effort but making steady progress.
— Gregory Santos’ MRI came back clean and he began light baseball activities today. Similar situation for Eduard Bazardo.
— Bryan Woo was down for a little over a week but had also resumed baseball activity. He’s on track for a short-term IL stint.
— Sam Haggerty is making progress and has also resumed workouts.

small sample size but thru 4 games the M’s have struck out 45 times, which is amongst league leaders in strikeouts. Newly acquired Jorge Polanco leads the team and Haniger close behind.
Basically, Dipoto circled the wagons by getting rid of high strike out guys from last season to bring in more of the same.
I mean, that was his goal during the off-season right? Go cheaper but bring in less strikeouts?
