Absolutely terrible trade. Who is to say that the comp pick the commanders get for Young is any higher than the comp pick they get from SF?

That sucks, but I think on a macro level Harris just decided he was done with all of it and was going to move Chase no matter what.

I don't blame him not wanting to pay Chase. Admittedly he put up some stats this year, but he also looked uninterested n was going through the motions more than playing.

A thought:

Maybe the new analytical hire suggested that paying Young and Sweat wasnt worth it. That would make these trades worhtwhile, I suppose.

It's possible that Harris asked the new analytics guy for his advice, liked his advice, and hired him with "what to do at the deadline" firsrt and foremost in his mind.

I hope so, in any case.

Certainly the DL isnt playing like a DL with four first rounders should be playing.

I thought Mathis played last week. Think he was the one that came up with the fumble recovery. Could be wrong.

I would argue that Rivera might be making things worse actually.

The incompetence is mind boggling at this point. I don't know what makes me more upset, his in game errors or his ridiculous explanations the following day. If we want to keep Kam Curl and any others, making a move now signals that that change is coming.
