well, Dalton may not be the long term answer for the next 15 years, but several wide receivers have had success in the wco, so Green may as well too.

my guess is, not until 2013 though.

I really dont see the point of drafting AJ Green in a dink and dunk offense. A 15 year pattern is stretching the field for the Dalton led WCO. Seriosuly, you're going to see DB's tee off on the WR's during the reg season if they dont go down field every now and then. Plus, they'll jump routes. It's obvious that Dalton isnt really seeing the field yet.

You know a lot of WR's have become big time players in the WC. You still need WR's. Jerry Rice, TO, etc.

Im just hoping that we are keeping it vanilla in the preseason and working on the REAL plays in practice.....Im REALLY HOPING for this....He had more time but then we played in a rainstorm in NY.....Im hoping he takes another step on Thursday night.....What I liked is he didnt get sacked and made some checks at the line for positive plays...and for a rookie to do that it says something...I also think he will play better at home than on the road....WE HAVE TO MAKE PLAYS when they stack 8 and 9 in the box...Green and Simpson are going to HAVE TO beat that and defenses will come out of it...What I want to see is Dalton be able to see the defense doing this and check to the right play and make the right read...He did that against NY a few times...Each week keep progressing...even though Im not confident about a win in game 1 anymore....but just continue to improve every week.

I feel different that EVENTUALLY this offense will be something....When I look at it...THE ONLY but VERY IMPORTANT deficiency I see on offense now is the INTERIOR oline....Thats why I have been SCREAMIN for us to sign Brian Waters...He loves playing the AFC North and he would put some NASTINESS on our line....But anyway...I think we improve interior line then we will really see the offense take off....Weapons are in place...I see 1 MAJOR move left on offense...We have the money GO SPEND THE DAMN MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We aren't signing anyone else. The line played really well against the Jets and that pass rush. Lets see how they do this week.

Your QB sucks and I wouldn't worry too much about AJ Green, first chance he gets - he's outta there.

BINGO!

This is why I advocated for Julio (assuming we were going WR)!

If this is our offense for the future, Julio would have fit tremendously.

Julio is the inferior WR. You draft the best player available and that was Green by a good margin over Jones. That is why you draft Green.

About the only thing I can say for fact is Jones would not have dropped, let alone deflected, that first interception.

We probably would have won the game had we had Jones and not Green.

Did you ever watch Jones play in college. Kid was the very definition of butter fingers.

LOL

Maybe you should compare Green & Jones' dropped passes.

My point. Jones was the very definition of butter fingers in college. Green is a better WR than Jones and it's not that close. Never was until the combine. People love those combine numbers.

Yeah, just before he was drafted ESPN showed a clip of all his dropped passes in 2010. It was more than AJ had his entire career, including practice. LOL

Now THAT's an ill-informed opinion, as opposed to my fact.

What did you say that was a fact? That Jones would have caught it? Opinion. That Jones wouldn't have deflected it? Opinion. That we probably would have won with Jones. Again an opinion. I'm still waiting for that fact.
