in my honest opinion we need to hit on all our picks to make this trade work. We need starters no more development players.

NP RF88. It will be interesting to see who is available for picks #15, #43, #45 and #76.

Getting starters in the 6th round is a tall order.

So much talk about the first pick that I forgot about our other ones . Hopefully we get lucky in the fourth and sixth round.

This is what I'm hoping for:
Round 1 Pick 1: Jared Goff, QB, California (A+)
Round 4 Pick 12: Jaylon Smith, OLB/ILB, Notre Dame (A)
Round 4 Pick 15: Roberto Aguayo, K, Florida State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 2: Demarcus Robinson, WR, Florida (A-)
Round 6 Pick 15: Mike Thomas, WR, Southern Mississippi (B+)
I don't think we go Kicker with our 3rd pick in the draft, they just signed Greg to a 1 year deal and we wont keep 2 kickers on our 53 man roster.

I don't think Greg would make it out of pre-season. Someone like Aguayo would put points on the board and be reliable from 50 yards in.

:fify:

Weaknesses
Aguayo saw his accuracy dip in 2015. Made just 5-of-9 field goals from 41 yards and beyond. Will occasionally lose track of a kickoff and knock it out of bounds. Only attempted six kicks of 50-plus yards during his career. While quality of kickoffs have improved, still doesn't have a booming kickoff leg.

I'd say you can rely on the most accurate in NCAA history from 50 yards and in. He may not have range past 55, but how well has that worked out with Greg "the leg"?

I just hope they have a .500 or better season whoever is starting at QB.

Cause if they end up with a bad record and that 1st rounder next year is top 10, this trade will look even worse than it does now.

I have accepted the fact that it appears the Rams have fallen in love with Goff.

He is my concern. Of the 6 times in NFL history for QB's to go 1-2 in the draft, only once have both QB's had good careers ( Plunkett and Manning ). The other times, it's been one succeeding and one failing ( Bledsoe/Mirer, Manning/Leaf, Couch/McNabb, Luck/RG3 and Winston/Mariotta- which is too soon to tell ).

Goff has been compared to Ryan/Flacco and Wentz to Luck ( although it may take a year or two to get there ).

Chances are, one of these QB's will fail. I just hope it's not Goff.

Also, don't think it's worth trading away so many picks for a Ryan/Flacco type QB, but if he turns out to be just as good as those 2, the Rams should be successful with their run game and defense.

Btw, I read a report that stated the Rams FO told the QB's they won't be throwing as much as they did in college, but rather turning around and handing it to #30.

If that is indeed their plan, why in the world did they ransom the teams next 2 drafts for a QB when Keenum/Mannion could've done the same thing and not cost them any picks?

Because they're more worried about making a splash by attracting attention to the fact that they're back in Los Angeles than doing things that make sense on the field is my guess.
