Wow. This guy was born in Brighton, MI around the time I moved there (from central PA) and went to Brighton High School. Yes, this was also around the time we got swept by the Wings in the Cup Finals. Now I really feel old...

For as bad as our forward depth may seem Lindblom, Aube-Kubel, Marody, and Kase could all be middle 6 wingers. That doesn't even include Laughton or Konecny

Idk how soon a kid like Konecny could dress for the Flyers for a full season, but between him and Laughton, the compete level and the drive to succeed is through the roof. That's going to be infectious throughout the franchise as these guys grow and mature. You just can't say enough about the pick at #24. That was a flat-out steal.

I'm not quite sure why Hextall feels Konecny may be more suited as a RW for us when I would be grooming him for the 2nd Center position right off the bat, but I have to trust him after watching him handle that draft. Last I checked, we had plenty of solid RW's, but really needed that 2nd Center to light it up offensively behind Giroux.

We also have added some future depth at goalie. I sorted wanted Hextall to take Daniel "Darth" Vladar but I'll settle for the goalies he did select.
