Confidence and preparation can go a long way toward winning.

The other teams would have all been big favorites and it is difficult to prepare when
everybody keeps asking you how bad are you going to win.

I am pretty sure UCF would have had a better shot at back-to-back wins vs Auburn than Alabama in a 2-game series.

They lost the game in the weeks leading up to it with preparation.

I have no idea what they asked or said at the combine, but multiple Auburn players were asked about the National Championship thing and every one of them said Alabama and kind of laughed at the idea UCF was.

Maybe if Iowa ever has higher expectations other than hoping for a 10 win season when blessed with a easy conference schedule you'd understand.

So when you make outrageous, hypothetical statements that can’t be proven like Auburn would have destroyed UCF had it been a playoff game or had the UCF logo shown as Alabama on their jerseys, it makes you look very foolish and petty.

You're right, they would have been awesome all because they beat a single P5 team with 3 previous losses all year long. That's a lot like playing 3 out of the 4 playoff teams in the regular season, one of which they played 2 times.

There is a reason why UCF played a "I hope we can make a bowl game" schedule.

The fact you can't see that difference and don't think it means much is not surprising coming from a Boise St team. Talk about the lamest team in college football when it comes to scheduling.
