Hockey good post bra. We're 6-3 I'm good, Kap has struggled a bit, but again, I'm good. Folks get too caught up in the regular season at times, division titles, home field. Football is football, we have a good team, a team good enough to win on the road or at home in the playoffs, and a team good enough to win the Superbowl. I'll worry when the season is over if we fail to win the bowl.

Its not the losing that kills me its the way we lose. In the three losses has kaep even produced 300 combined yards? You can't tell me its because he had nobody to throw to if that's the case call some screens to the rbs. We had some weapons today in Boldin Manningham Gore James hunter and McDonald.

it's too early to say that. he played great at times and showed potential. our offensive line just stunk today. its only his first full season as a starter.

Again, it being his first full season of starting (even though we're past the point of him playing a full season worth of games), he has shown no progress this season. He has been in the offense for 3 years and still is uncomfortable and struggles working through all of his progressions quickly, he also has the complete inability to read a defense both pre-snap and post-snap, not to mention he has no pocket awareness. At this point we are a great team that is being held back by the QB.

Road is always a tougher path though.. Plus you want the bye if you can get it…

I think it's hilarious that the same people who've defended Smith and continuously pulled excuses out of their asses to deflected criticism off of him for SEVEN years are the same people who are SO quick to jump down Kaepernick's throat.

Just an interesting observation.

Maybe it's some form of revenge in their minds.

I hear your point...but recent history shows you don't need the division title or home field to win it all. If we can get healthy and incorporate the guys back into the offense at the right time for the playoffs we're still alive. Losing VD and Reid in this game didn't help the cause at all and hopefully they can get healthy because the Saints are looking tough again.

we need to get him in his comfort zone. limit his reads and use his legs.

Yes we have seen kap struggle a bit with that. He's had his up and downs in only his first yr of played games. Jesus you act like he should be playing like a guy who can't make any mistakes. Even the best have there worse games. I have seen kap play lights out just like I have seen brady and Rodgers play lights out. Guess what I have also seen the same play like shit. Again if it was this easy we would have won the Super Bowl last yr and be undefeated right now.

Some of these posts are just so crazy right now. We get it we had Montana and young and won all these Super Bowls. This is a new nfl. Defenses are still good. If anything the younger qbs are better a lot faster now then they were back then.

I hear you ( or read you, however the pun) but.....

Football is football is football is football..If you're the better team, well prepared, able to adapt and execute you win ball games. All that matters is getting to the playoffs, at that point, it's anybody's game

I defended Smith, too, especially after the NFC Championship Game when the Giants beat us. People criticized him in that game, but I felt that he played decent and that the times he bounced the ball to to the receivers were because if he threw it any "better", the pass would've been intercepted.

We really shouldn't be so negative about Kaepernick. I'm under no illusion about his present state, as there is much room for improvement, but the Niners had rational bases for choosing him as their starting QB. Kaep has big play potential. For the most part, he's also shown to be pretty good at taking care of the football. He's gonna struggle like most young QB's do, but the Niners will accept that for now because he does have potential. Kaep deserves criticism, but do we really want to give up on him already?

Did people even watch the fucking game today? Kaepernick was constantly pressured. Their DL simply out-played our OL and made Kaepernick uncomfortable in the pocket all day. And losing Vernon Davis with an already depleted receiving corps is a huge hit.

Again, not absolving Kaepernick of any blame, but you all sound fucking ridiculous right now. You want Alex Smith back? Okay, take him back. Just know, that Alex Smith is ALSO completing less than 60% of his passes at a MUCH lower YPA, and is a good 20 points lower in QBR than Kaepernick.

Get a fucking grip people. Such a stupid and whiny fan base.

Be careful Clyde people will say that cuz the chiefs are undefeated that makes smith the best ever! And kaepernick now is a 2nd string qb.

Who is calling for Alex Smith???? I want a competent QB, I don't care what the name on the back of the jersey says. I said that for years while Alex was QB and I'm saying it now.

Plenty of people in the game day thread said it, including Crimson and Kinzu.

Oh, and Kaepernick has the 2nd highest QBR average to only Peyton Manning since he started. Say what you will about the stat, but Kaepernick has been at least a competent QB. Get your head out of your ass.

There was someone who posted that Kaepernick fleeced us into trading away Alex Smith.

I will say this, as an outsider seeing their highlights and what not, it seems like a lot of drama and negative things have taken place there this season - between Kaep struggling, Frank Gore demanding the ball more and Aldon Smith's situation, a lot of things have been out of sync this season

Maybe they can get hot late in the season and make a deep playoff run, but I wouldn't be the first person at the betting table to do so

I don't give a shit about that total QBR nonsense stat that someone made up, we have the worse passing offense in the NFL. I'm watching the games and watch that Kaepernick struggles as a passer ever game, he can't go through his progressions quickly enough and can't read a defense pre or post snap. I think the fact that Kaepernick rates that high in total QBR just shows us how useless that stat is as he has been absolutely terrible throwing the ball (not including a couple games). So would take Kaep over: Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Stafford, etc, just because he has a higher QBR? If Kaepernick is competent he is just barely competent.

I don't know what your obsession is with Kaepernick and honestly I'm really surprised you are as accepting of his mediocre play.

Anyway Walking Dead is on, we can continue this another day.
