He wants the schedule on ESPN so we can go on the conversation board to see how many Cats fans will be around... I figure most of the regulars from last year will at least check out the convo section so we're thinking about posting on there and maybe bringing them over here or figuring out what we're going to do for game day threads or convo boards. Personally, I think SportsHoopla should work but it's obviously up to all of those guys if they're willing to come over here.

I think the best thing to do is to link them to this site and get them an account set up and go from there. I like this site better than any of the other sites we attempted to migrate to.

Ahh I see. Would be awesome to have more Cats on here. :thumb:

All the ASU fans over there were nice, but there a couple of trolls like SunDevil Elite Hoops who I wouldnt want over here. I remember there were some Uofa thugs that would come on in big games, and just flood the board. We need a few more suns fans on the board. All go and post the link over there. All Arizona sports is growing on SportsHoopla. :suds:

Yep, this is exactly right. I have to believe they will check it. I think this site will win. Definitely linking this one, and just see what anyone else knows about. A least give it a shot and start out here. If it gets to crowded, we can go from there. If not, this will work fine.

But the damn schedule needs to go up so we can put it out there!!!!! Hurry up ESPN, you're dropping the ball, get with the program!!!!!

Such great news, and he gets all 4 years!!!

Everyone (myself included) was thinking early on that he wasn't going to be able to play until January. The fact that he gets to help during the non-conference is crucial. I'm really looking for this kid to start well off the bench and add a ton to the team by the time he's done at AZ. Hoping his 3pt game is developing right now, we could sure use the outside threat from a big, after losing Jerrett. Apparently Ashley has also really been trying to increase his outside shot.

Wow didn't realize he could shoot from range. If he does have a decent shot that would be awesome. Still kinda mad Jerrett decided to leave.

Peters is a huge addition. He would start on some teams in the Pac... having him off the bench will be nice.

Don't get me started on our potential if Jerrett and Chol would have stayed. We would have been the hand's down favorite, and with good cause.

Ranking college basketball's best current programs | One And One - SI.com

I think we are better than #10 but being top 10 is still legit. Apparently they think our arena which has led the West Coast in a attendance for who knows how long is outdated and not up to par.

I didn't see the part where it talked about McKale. But, I will say that it just turned 40 years old. Not ancient, but it's getting there. I know that they have been talking for a few years about the need to either renovate McKale or build a new home for the team. Bottom line is that with AZ Basketball bringing in around $15M per year, it's time to upgrade the situation. They ultimately want to be able to increase seating, in addition to the facilities. The thing is that the just put in that very expensive locker room, so that adds to the renovation argument rather than getting a completely new arena. The first step, regardless, was to get football, and the other sports offices out of there (which was done this past year). They have gotten permission from the university to plan each move for bids, but I don't think they've decided either way.

I wouldn't say that the age is a negative, but it's certainly not a positive. 40 years is pretty old these days, and if anything, they are bringing attention to the issue.

Kameron Chatman told Damon Stoudamire that he will be an Arizona Wildcat. Another top 50 player to add to the 2014 class.

PJC, Victor and Chatman along with Stanley Johnson and Justice Winslow if everything goes according to plan. Should be a top 3 class, maybe number 1 depending on how things shake out.

Either way, I like it, but SJ and JW are both SF along with KC. Not that the other two wouldn't shoot ahead of KC, but the 3/4 spots would be awfully crowded.

I think Ashley and Gordon go pro after this year.
Jefferson and Zeus after next year.
Then SJ and JW the following year.

I guess they never really said the arena was outdated but they implied it. "Arena lags behind that of elite programs"

I have a feeling Zues goes pro before Ashley but we will see. I just think a true back to the basket 7 footer is more valuable than a 6'8'' PF. Of course it all depends on the kind of season they have. Ashley did avg more points than Zues but barely.

Wow. Damn... Chatman is committing to Michigan instead now. Lied to Stoudamire's face apparently and used AZ for a visit. Oh well. As long as we land Stanley and Justice I'm good.
