I had to leave him out since we have been picking up WRs left and right in FA. I would love to have him though.

Williams and Perriman are only signed for one year and I read that next years class of WR is pretty weak so, IDK.

Should they draft Pitts then I don't see them double dipping in a big WR.
Yes, Pitts will be used more as an X or Z than he will be inline. I imagine he'd still be used inline but not all that much. Lot's of probabilities with Hock and Pitts and other WR not to mention Swift.

This offense "could become extremely explosive in 2022" with Pitts and one of those small slot WR added to the group.

If Tufele is not there for us in day 2 then either of them would do nicely.

@Stomp was stating Tufele is more 3-tech than anything else.
I did see him play 5-tech 3x vs BYU and 5x vs Oregon (in a reduced game film 25-30 minutes long).

McNeil and Tonga are more 0/1 but I could see McNeil playing any position from 5-tech down to 0-tech.

We're seeing a lot of this occur over the last 5-6 years. Former Clemson NT, Dexter Lawrence, plays LDE (3-4 base 5-tech) for the NYG and former U-Conn NT, Folorunso Fatukasi, was playing LDE (3-4 base 5-tech) for the Jets.

Darnold didn't get a fair shake in that horrid Gase offense and Wilson gives me a Ryan Leaf vibe, but he's getting a ton of hype.

Any incoming rookie qb "has to have an O-Line to keep them fairly clean", if they want them to be successful. The JETS sure as hell didn't do that with Darnold and that was a huge mistake.

I also believe Wilson would do very well in Shanahan's offense and that O-Line is fairly stout (Trent Williams, Tomlinson, Mack, McGlinchy - don't know who is RG). Mac Jones and Wilson both should/would shine in that system.

Wilson gives me a Ryan Leaf vibe,

Walter Football had an article speaking about Wilson comes from money and some anonymous scouts believed he gave off a "Johnny Manziel" vibe. I believe it was Wilson's uncle owns Jet Blue. There were other personality traits where he was described as being cocky but yet still a good teammate. IDK.

WalterFootball.com: 2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Zach Wilson

"Johnny Manziel comp without the [drugs]. [Wilson] is fun to watch, but is he a 1-year flash in the pan? He's a backyard baller who is fun to watch.

"Someone will grab him in the first. I doubt he gets to the second, because once the third quarterback goes after Lawrence and Fields, there will be a run on them. [Wilson] has character concern, rich kid who is an entitled brat -uncle owns Jet Blue -, parents are a pain, not a leader, selfish, and he's a know-it-all.

So far here is where I am at:

7 WR Waddle AL
41 S Moehrig TCU
72 DT Tufele USC
101 TE Long BC
112 LB Werner OH St
153 OT Little Stan

IDK, I don't see envision Moehrig lasting until No.41 but I'd be all for Oregon S Jevon Holland at that spot.
Maybe Cincy S James Wiggins on day 3.

I'm not the least bit interested in any of the other S in this class (Grant, Nasirildeen, Cisco, Hufanga etc.)

My List would be

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
Trevon Moehrig
Jevon Holland
James Wiggins

I expect Owusu-Koramoah and Moehrig to both be gone long before we pick at No.41 but should either last to that point then you draft them.

IDK a damn thing about this kid but off the scouting report from The Draft Network. I'll see if I can pull up some reduced game from Ohio St, Penn St, Michigan, Wisky games

Jamar Johnson S Indiana - Draft Player Profile | The Draft Network

Ideal Role: Hybrid safety.

Scheme Fit: Split zone heavy coverages.

Indiana safety Jamar Johnson projects favorably as a potential NFL starter in defenses that play split safety, middle of the field open coverage with frequency. Johnson has a fair amount of upside in coverage in man assignments but his half-field responsibilities in zone allow him to process releases and simultaneously position himself well to drive and trigger on the run if need be. Johnson’s development into a prominent prospect has been one that required good fortune and steady development—he transformed from a special teamer as a freshman and eventually took over a starting role in 2020 with the Hoosiers' defense. He’s got a proven nose for the football and, at 6-foot-1 and 197 pounds, he has the kind of physicality that you’re looking for in a D-gap presence in the nickel as well. Johnson has generated strong ball production and made the most of his opportunities to generate turnovers for the Hoosiers’ defense; he accounted for six interceptions over his final 21 games with the program between 2019 and 2020. Johnson has a little bit of added polish needed to his game, but he’s got the physical profile and nose for impact plays to feel optimistic about his forecast as an NFL starter.

interesting take by Brandt regarding OSU LB Pete Werner

Gil Brandt's Hot 100, 1.0: Top prospects in 2021 NFL Draft class

Rank
29
Pete Werner

Pete Werner
Ohio State · LB
Height: 6-2. Weight: 235.

Werner can play against the run or in space -- and there's a possibility he could be fast enough to serve as a safety.

Kyle Pitts

Kyle Pitts
Florida · TE
Height: 6-6. Weight: 240.

Pitts will be a mismatch problem for anybody who plays against him. He's got great speed, and he can play inside or outside. Don't just think of him as a tight end -- he can also effectively function as a wide receiver.

and the "unique" quotes keep on a coming from DC

Dan Campbell: ‘We don’t want turds here’ with the Lions (usatoday.com)

Character was paramount, something Campbell reinforces every time a microphone is in front of him.

“Look, we’re no different than anybody else. Even if you’re a great player, we don’t want turds here, man. We don’t want lazy guys, we don’t want guys that are up and down and we don’t want flash players. If you’re a flash guy where it’s like, ‘My god, did you see that play?’ and the next play he’s in the tank, we don’t know where he’s at, we don’t know what he’s going to do, I got nothing for those guys. It’s the ones that are consistent and you see it all the time.”
