Some small facts. Payton took a dumpster fire of a team & started winning with it.

I've watched every single snap, in every single game the Broncos have played in the last two years. Haven't missed one. Stats just don't tell the whole story of this season. You have to watch the game and apply the eye test to get the true story. Also need to check out the Broncos offensive ranking this year and not just RW's stats.

Yes, the Broncos are 6-3 in their last 9 games but that's due to our defense creating takeaways and giving the offense very short fields to score. The pace they were taking the ball away wasn't sustainable and eventually that trend fell back to average.

Russell Wilson has certainly shown flashes of greatness and there are a small handful of games that he single handedly delivered the victory, usually with his legs. However there were far more games where he missed open receivers, held on to the ball way too long and took a sack or flat out threw a bad pass. Typically, he's only passing for 100-200 yards per game. His play has felt very average at best over the last two years.

I was excited to get Russell Wilson in the trade but the contract extension prior to suiting up for the Broncos was a monumental mistake. Russ is a great guy and I've been rooting for him every week but it just didn't work out. Sean Payton is making the right decision for the team and most Broncos fans feel like we have the right coach in place.

Another thing that’s misleading, you see the Broncos have given up 45 sacks and think “wow Russ has no help” and then you see stuff like this and realize “oh it’s Russ’s fault”

The Broncos would have 66% less sacks given up. If Russell Wilson wasn’t the quarterback, imagine that.
