I have 179+ on my 02 Impala LS. I want to get it above 200k and more. Not having any problems with it yet.

What was the most mileage you have put on a car til it kicked the bucket?

My company service van (Ford E250) has around 275,000 on it now. My bosses has a little over 300,000 if I remember correctly. My wife's Jeep Liberty had around 220,000 on it when we sold it. I rarely end up with anything in the 100,000 range on my vehicles, I tend to start craving something else after a couple years.

My '95 SHO has 204 K on it. I'm nowhere near getting rid of it. Gonna get it painted this winter.

Put 99k on my '77 Pontiac.
Have 90k on my '06 F-150 I currently own.

For a lot of years I averaged 50k-60k miles a year so only kept a car maybe 2-2half years.
Most of them were Ford and Chevy Trucks. All of the above bought new.

My wife's Accord she bought new and has 145k and runs great.

Had a 1979 Grand Prix (My old man was the original owner/8 cylinder) and it had a little over 150,000 when I sold it. Still ran like a top.

Had a 2001 Grand Prix as a company car and put 34,000 on it in one year.

I had a 1999 Chev Lumina LTZ (3.8) (purchased in 1998) that I got rid of in 2009 and had 194K on it. Was a great car. Engine and transmission. Had no rust yet (in Minnesota). It didn't kick the bucket, but I didn't feel it was an appropriate car anymore.

I just sold my 03 Accord V6 with 100K miles on it. It was still going strong and I could have gotten at least another 100K miles out of it, but a nice opportunity arose and I upgraded to a nicer car.

I had an '88½ Ford Escort Pony that I put 180K hard miles on from ages 18-22.

Newspaper had it listed incorrectly and I ended up paying $1500 for the car with 30K on it.(maybe 1993ish)

I've put 200 on a Buick, Accura, VW and I'm close with my '01 Volvo wagon and not far behind with my '04 Ford truck.

200 always seem to be the time that the cost to fix out-weighs trading in.

Now sure how it timed out this way, but it looks like I will need to get a new truck at the same time we get a new car... Two payments will suck...

And Ford trucks suck.

There.

I said it.

I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer that I bought in 2001 when it had 88,000 miles on it and used it as my main vehicle from 2001 until 2010 but only use it now a few times a month if I need to run to Home Depot or to pick up or haul something that does not fit in the car. It now has 256,000 miles and have just had to to regular maintenance to the engine and transmission.

Not bad Sarge...
My '98 F-150 that we've owned since '99 is still going strong w/ 258,000 and change.
I hope I don't jinx myself. It's the longest I've ever owned a vehicle. And it's been paid off since '01.

My '04 GMC Envoy had 236k when I traded it in...running fine but I was tired of the SUV and wanted a car again...my boss has a f350 diesel with about 295k on but it's been in and out of the shop often.
