I would rather strengthen the OL than get a skill position. Doesn't matter who you have behind center if the pocket collapses with a 3-man rush.

In this league, the QB makes the biggest difference...and it isn't even close. I couldn't tell you anything about the kids in college, because I don't watch it, but if there is a 'can't miss' guy, SF should look at it.

Having said that, this is an extremely poor effort we are seeing....from almost every possible angle. Except from the Cardinals POV.

we need to go qb. If davis unretires and can regain form and martin is a better guard than center and kilgore comes back healthy then the oline will be ok. However, kaep is not the guy, he just isn't

Some will surely try. Cal ceretainly is but you could put what he knows about football inside a thimble and still have room to spare.

You don't pass on a franchise QB. Especially when you don't have one. Kap is a backup at best

The players are bad but the preparation and coaching in all aspects of the game is even worse.

We somehow need to find Belicheck's formula for finding offensive lineman in the late rounds or as undrafted free agents.

Well He doesn't just have undrafted late round guys on his line. Nate Solder LT was a 1st round pick, LG Josh Kline Undrafted Rookie, David Andrews C was a Undrafted Rookie, Wendell was undrafted, Sebastian Vollmer RT 2nd round pick. So yes 3 of the 5 are and it comes down to scouting and coaching they obviously spend a lot of time looking at everyone so they hit on these type of guys. San Fran does have Boone and I'm ok with the interior guys being the diamond in the rough types but the Tackles should be higher picks.

Pass rush is more important than CB play. These days no CB can really cover a top NFL WR.

I agree I'm just not sure if some of they young guys will emerge this year or not so far not but if they do it might not be as big of a need. Sure most CB these days can't cover top WR's but they can at least make them work for it and I don't believe our guys can even do that.
