There's a possibility of snow and UCLA lays an egg once a year. At a neutral site game or in Pasadena UCLA wins going away but playing in Utah could give them trouble. I still think they'll easily cover though.

I don't know if it's something in the water or some bizarre Mormon curse involving secret rituals in pretty stained glass temples, but the state of Utah always seems to screw with visiting teams.

I think UCLA is going to beat Utah well tomorrow as there is a lot of justification for them being ranked where they are, but it wouldn't shock me either if they lose by a field goal or something. It is going to be damn cold there tomorrow with decent chance of some rain and potentially even some snow.

don't know why people aren't buying into UCLA. Believe the Bruins come into Eugene with at the most 1 loss.

I dont think so....... There defense I still think is middle of the pack, and Mazzones offenses get more and more predictable as the season goes on. Texas owned em in the bowl game because of all the time they had to prepare that offense gets predictable, same with when ASU got owned by Boise State.

I'm sure the rumor mill around LA with all that media is already going into overload, but many down there are saying USC is going to do whatever it takes to land Peterson.


The Jack Del Rio situation is obviously complicated because the Broncos could be looking at the superbowl this year. The Broncos with Manning could be looking at a 2-3 window for a SB. Getting Rio to leave when he could get a ring could be a challenge.

Before it's all said and done, every name from Saban, to Belichick, to Gruden, etc. will be rumored for the job. Heck, I half expect to hear someone suggest digging up McKay or Bear Bryant!!

Honestly, with what I'm hearing already (even though only 1 practice), I'm starting to think, "Why not Orgeron?" Word is there is excitement, energy and the players are having fun. Plus, the dude is hilarious. A couple of snippets from an article in todays L.A. Times:

He signed off on desserts being returned to the training table and said: "You feed a lineman a cookie, he's happy"!!

On him running around from group to group during practice: he said he "loved" being able to get on the offensive line, "scream at the quarterback, all that kind of stuff"!!

I also liked what he said about the sanctions, claiming they won't be used as an excuse: "We have our team. It's what it is. It's what we are. We're Trojans. We put 11 on the field and we fight."

He also opened practice back up to the media, which should help with the image!!

Plus, everyone at USC loves the guy!!
