I don't really like Kneel, but I'm willing to keep an open mind. That said:

IN:
F James Neal, Elias Lindholm, Derek Ryan, Austin Czarnik
D Noah Hanifin

OUT:
F Micheal Ferland, Matt Stajan, Kris Versteeg, Chris Stewart
D Dougie Hamilton

I certainly think the 'In' looks better than the 'Out'

^As much as you dislike Kneel, and who does like him?, I think he will pair well with Gaudreau.

Let’s see Taveras out and Filpulla in. The Isles won’t miss a beat.

Yup, either first line with Moneyhands and Gaudreau or second line potentially with Tkachuk and Bennett. The top six of the Flames certainly looks much better with the additions of Lindholm and Kneel.

What a great offseason for the Caps so far.

Moved Orpik's big a$$ K after what was likely his last great season. Re-signed one of the top 5 defensemen in the game in John Carlson. Have the money to sign Tom Wilson and keep eseentially the same top 9 forwards and the same top 4 defensemen from last year's team.

It sucks to lose Jay Beagle because of his leadership, his PK abilities, his faceoff game, and because he's such a great all around guy. But you won't keep the whole band together and the Caps have a lot of center depth on the roster.

I'd like to congratulate the Calgary Flames on losing the 2019 Stanley Cup Final now that they have James Neal

lol - Maybe he can be our Marian Hossa, he made three consecutive trips to the Cup finals and the third one was the charm.

They are built to win again just hope they don't show up drunk.

Or second guess please show up drunk....:suds:

And after the cup win get a mysterious skin disease and retire to help the Flames cap issues.

Decisions will need to be made and sometimes rash decisions are needed.

Scratch a little deeper into the Flames cap situation and you will see a long history of being measely with money.

Quite the change . Tis good. Maybe they learned from hanging on to long to certain styles and players.

I like the ROR trade a lot because I don't think it did jack shit for Buffalo.

Great trade for St Louis. Those picks will most likely be later picks in the rounds. They got a big young center as well but he was also a 26 pick.

I don't get why people everywhere are saying this trade is robbery by St. Louis.

Yea, they get the best player, but Berglund is an NHL player, Sobotka is an NHL player, Thompson is a big prospect with a bunch of potential (even though I was never high on him...) and two top two round picks. ROR is a good faceoff guy and he's good for 60 points, but it's not like he's a Premier player.

They got a top 6 centre for two third liners in their 30's, an average prospect and a pick.

Didn't call it a robbery and haven't seen anyone here call it that but Buffalo came out on the wrong side of this one and it isn't really debatable. They addressed exactly none of their biggest needs and created a massive hole on the second line until (if) Mittelstadt matures.
