Rosters were frozen around the Super Bowl and the way our exercise works, it was much better for me to keep Russ and restructure his contract rather than cut or trade him and eat all that dead money. Traded Jeudy and Simmons before they were traded and cut, respectively. I got some good values in FA and was able to pick up Tyler Lockett to drop 4 spots and take the guy I was probably going to take at 12.
