Oh; I understand the talent analogy, I really thought Bop would bring some talent our way when first hired. I was a bear eatin berries in the middle of winter when Bop was initially hired, then myself as many of you grew to know the mans personality. By the end, I wasn’t disappointed to see him go.

Don’t get me wrong, the Mf’r can coach, every position group he took over excelled.

I wish him the best......

:finger:BOP:finger:
Yeah luckily for Bo he’ll be underneath one of the best recruiters in the country,, just like his last stop there

Last nights game was some of the worst effort I have seen from this basketball team. The sad thing is we could have beat them. The crowd was so quite you could hear a mouse fart. Really need a big man down low to get a fucking rebound. Cam missing 4 layups did not help I think he was just putting a little to much mustard on it because he was getting to the rim he just was not using the touch needed to get them to fall. I have a feeling this team is getting frustrated.

I have yet to watch even a part of one Nebraska basketball game this season. They could be winless and it wouldn't bother me one bit. That they actually won a Big 10 game surprises the hell outta me.

Hoiberg will put things together in the years to come.

Just out of curiosity, anyone have thought on the North East corner of our great state? South Sioux city to be exact, but anywhere between there and Omaha would be interesting to know about.

What do you want to know?

Their nickname is 'Sewer City' because it tends to stink there.

Their airport 3 letter designator is SUX. LOL

I guess just curious about the area. Your info is helpful. How the people are? stuff like that. If I took a job there, would I be better off living down in Tekamah or Oakland? How are those towns? A little far for me to drive, but my wife is reluctant to be too far from Omaha. As long as no snow though, that drive wouldn't be much different than where I live now to downtown Omaha.

Tekamah ain't bad and is a quick drive from Omaha. Summit Lake nearby has some decent fishing as well and there is a bar/restaurant basically on the lake which is nice, good catfish too. Just steer clear of Blair. All of my friends from Blair are batshit crazy like they put something in the water or something.

As long as you are not working in Tekamah, you would probably do ok. Anywhere north of there gets rather dumpy and shady. Lived in Tekamah for 9 years, glad to be the f*ck out though. Nicely situated between South Sioux and Omaha, though.

Can u expand on this? Is it just the typical small town shit? Everyone knowing everyone else's business?

Thanks. Yea, i just think I have to be a little further north than Blair if I'm going to drive to South Sioux city every day.

Yessir, mostly typical small town shit, but there is just nothing to do there, other than the aforementioned Summit Lake, but even that is minimal.

Ha, yea, I understand both things. My wife and I are pretty boring though, so loss of night life things wouldn't be a big deal. She'd miss the convenience of restaurants/fast food and some of the stores in Omaha.

The nearest town for anything even remotely resembling eating and shopping would be Blair. Other than that, you're pretty much down to Omaha and Sioux City. The biggest "nightlife" in Tekamah is Ronnie's Bar, town staple for many a year now.

I went to college at Wayne and we called Sioux City Circle jerk. Hate that fucking city but hey I hate everything in Iowa unless we take a quality recruit from there. By the way Fuck Iowa

I typically just pass through there on the way to my cabin near Sisseton, SD.

I've stayed at the Hard Rock Casino a couple times.

@HawkeyeHater lives in those parts, but not sure how often he checks into the SportsHoopla anymore.

I think @Jack_John_Mark is familiar with some of the small towns between Sioux City and Omaha.
