CFB is littered with good/great coordinators that didn't have what it takes to be a good/great head coaches. Helfrich was a damn good coordinator under Chip Kelly at Oregon.

I've got no problems with Frost picking him up for whatever purpose. Saban loves snatching these type of guys up.

So what I am hearing now is that Troy Walters office has cleared out and the reason why they haven't announced anything is that Mickey Joseph is coming to be the offensive coordinator from LSU and Mark helfrich is going to be a analyst in some capacity.

No word on Carlos poker Bill Bush but I really hope both them, as well

Troy Walters being a goner is like best kept secret from local Nebraska media channels.

World Herald, Journal Star, G.I. Independent, local ABC, NBC, CBS affiliates all kept in the dark?

probably not but if they ever want an interview with frost or Fred hoiberg or any of the Nebraska coaches they probably best keep their mouth shut

I could see keeping Mickey Joseph a secret since he's coaching WR's the NC game tonight.

I don't see the purpose in keeping Walters departing a secret. That would be big news.

"Pssst. Troy Walters is no longer a Nebraska coach and has no other job offers at this time. Don't tell anybody tho." - Frost

On a different note... I see these two prolific offenses tonight constantly making big pass plays down field. They go over the top, over the top, over the top.

Nebraska spent 90% of their time with the ball throwing it sideways for shit.

So I had to look some of this up to get my timeline of events down.

It wasn't until February 3rd, 2011 when questions started getting asked about Shawn Watson.
Nebraska Coaching Changes Coming - Marvin Sanders, Shawn Watson, Ted Gilmore Out?

On February 17th 2011 he was announced as QB's coach at Louisville.
Strong Adds Watson As Quarterbacks Coach - University of Louisville Athletics

Naturally Bo Pelini gave him an opportunity to find employment elsewhere to save the embarrassment of being fired.

There may be something to this even though it's not getting local MSM coverage.
I'm fine with it. I'd be fine with Helfrich being OC.

so sick of the Joe Burrow could have been at Nebraska talk. can't believe they had to say that shit on the air last night. and stupid twitter going at it again. i'm going to shut that shit down right here:

who do you take in 2018:
2617 yds, 17 TD, 8 INT, cmp% 64.6%; 629 rushing and 8 TD.
2894 yds, 16 TD, 5 INT, cmp% 57.8%; 399 rushing and 7 TD.

it's why Frost took AM over Burrow. had Gebbia too, who knew he'd leave? couldn't have predicted the 2019 breakout and even then it's behind an all-american OL with all-american WRs, which he wouldn't have had at NU. people are stupid, just stop.
