The same players outstanding are showing-up in different articles. The Center Powers-Jacksin is a def stud and we should take him. I like the EDGE from UCLA. Man if he would fall to 19!!

JPJ is likely a 1st rounder now as well.

This guy may fall to us at 19 or better get at 58 because he is a bit raw but he is a massive, mean and nasty tackle but also injury-prone. If the Rams could get Fuaga or Guyton, that would be ideal but Mims would be a good start to getting more Avila/Dotson type guys at tackle.

Guyton is a bit of a project too. Rams do have tackles that can hold the fort for now as younger prospects develop, but maybe a 1st round OT shouldn't need development? Guyton is a hot name due to the Senior bowl practices, so his draft stock is a bit elevated.

All depends on what the Rams want to prioritize, as there will be plenty of directions they could go at #19 (OT, Edge, CB, etc). If the Rams are looking for developmental OTs, they might be able to find more cost effective targets on day 2 or later. Greenfield out of SDSU is an interesting prospect for example (from the Shrine Bowl).

I love Latu but was surprised he could go that high. Thought he was more of a late 1st, early 2nd.

You would like him, @Retroram52. Has a great motor and never gives up.

His medical concerns seem to have been fallen off, I would be surprised if he slipped out of the top 20.

He turned quite a few heads at the Senior Bowl this year.

As a Bruins fan, I really enjoyed watching him play.

Here's a little more on him.

Pros

  • Hand usage
Wins with strong but swift hands that can knock off opposing grips or swipe away initial contact
  • Pass rush plan
Displays an arsenal of pass-rush moves rarely seen by college players. Comes in day one with a developed set of moves
  • Run defense
Not just a pass rusher. Can hold up at the point, set edges and split double teams to disrupt the backfield
Cons

  • Injury History
Already off some team's boards due to a medical history that includes a serious neck injury that forced him to retire for a while
  • Build
Tweener body type and play these that may come with an adaptation period in the NFL
  • Bend
Has trouble flattening his rush path and bending the corner to finish the rep once he’s cleared the tackle-guard

LYL!

To add to the build concerns, he was noted to have shorter than ideal arms (for what that's worth lol).

Yep, the UCLA EDGE is beginning to slip and there are rumors Snead isn't too keen on him either but all of this could be hype that is usually rampant about this time of the year.

I disagree with the author of this article. Our inside LBing corp has always been a little shaky and this is an area where the ShitferBains twins need to change their approach. We need to draft another Earnest Jones because if he goes down we might as well rush five D-Lineman and put in an rover-type Safety. This is one of the reasons we can't stop the run most often. The FAs in this article should be shown the door. Both are horrible even on STs. The Rams could easily pick-up a decent ILB in the 5th and 6th Rounds.

Yep, Shanahan effed-up a couple of times yesterday and Reid was well versed having won three snooperbowls in the last five years. Maybe McShitferBrains should poach some of Reid's coaches to add to his coaching staff!

The only one that really matters is Spags IMO, and unless he's going to stay DC, been there done that.

I think this is a little steep for an aging LB of Mack's stature. I wouldn't make this trade and instead I would go with peeps I could draft.
