IMO the top 5 bands of all time are:
1. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
2. Shenandoah
3. Confederate Railroad
4. Statler Brothers
5. Lynyrd Skynyrd
Top 5 solo artists:
1. Waylon Jennings
2. Merle Haggard
3. Willie Nelson
4. George Jones
5. tie between Buck Owens and Keith Whitley
Sorry no offense... But the poll isn't who's the most overrated band of all time...
Yoga you know I couldn't just list 50 bands. I do like most of the ones on your list but being you gave my Dead post a bullshit I guess I shouldn't also say the Beach Boys were/are also way overrated...

Meh...don't sweat it,dude....but I undid that emoji a few hrs ago and gave you a facepalm instead...and if you really were concerned about an "overrated" band being listed...then you might have reconsidered at least 4 (imho) from your own list and not included them.
But I digress.....it is what it is. No worries.
Okay i'll bite, which 4 are overrated on the list?
Beatles and Zeppelin would be the kings of rock and best bands HOWEVER afterwards i would give the two bands below consideration......As far as influence Beatles,Zeppelin followed by AC/DC and KISS
AC/DC and KISS... AC/DC is probably the biggest seller among the heaviest rock bands and KISS has more gold albums than any American rock band in history. KISS has 26 gold albums and sold over 100 million records over a period of over 40 years that is impressive staying power. KISS has been continually putting out gold and platinum albums almost every year or two since KISS Alive! sold four million albums in 1975. AC/DC has been putting out albums since around the same period of time as well and have sold a bit more around 110 million or so and also have the best selling hard rock album ever Back In Black which has sold over twenty million in America alone.
