not sure if fake news.......could be someone drumming shit up......

If he went back to college I doubt the 1st would be as appealing without the name Williams attatched to it....
I dont think the other qbs are as highly regarded.....

And doing us a favor if he stayed and Poles doesnt want the headache,it makes his job a little simpler.
It's been confirmed as someone drumming shit up. The account is a satire account. So...

With all the shit he started by playing for only 4 teams and wanting part ownership, nothing surprises me anymore......

I really cannot stand Caleb Williams. I cant stand him even more because it makes me choose Fields to stay at QB. Maybe you get a better coordinator that actually incorporated hot reads into ever offensive play, a QB coach that verifies that fields trusts his hot reads more than his legs. Seems the Getsy plan for pressure was "Justin will get out of it".

Tua is about to get 23 million as his fifth year option and I am really not sure Miami has their franchise guy. One freaking insignificant game where Tyreke watched from the sidelines, just to go back into the game late was the one game they needed for this game to be in Miami. I sure hope we see more from Fields before we get there.

Watching these highlites from of the Texans Browns game,,do you guys realize what a qb can do for our team.....

Fields will never be as succesful as Stroud.....

Stroud has made a 3 win Texan team, that was argueably the biggest mess in the NFL last season to a playoff team that destroyed Cleveland in its first game, has made a nonrelevant Nico Collins into a household name, tank Dell into a top wr and add Dalton Schultz as a vefy good te.....

Do you think Houston would trade CJ for a haul......??

We traded for a haul to get to where we are at this year, two of the top 9 picks....
We have that chance to get a qb of that caliber, not too mention a top wr on top oof that.....
Its time we trade of a qb that we dont know if hes that guy or not for a 2nd or 3rd and kick some ass next season.....

We should not trade down for a haul, when we can you use last years haul right now..........we have that chance right now......

Still a ways to go before learning who Poles will land in free agency. But looking back at last year's signings, it would be hard to top the inking of TJ Edwards. 7th in the l league in tackles, 2.5 sacks, 8 TFL, 3 INT, 7 PD, a forced fumble and 2 recoveries. All this on a 3 year contract valued at $6.5m per year. By today's standards that's some serious value.

Your opinion is shared by many. Toss in the reset on a huge QB contract.

However... Opinions are all over the place which means, no matter what decision Poles & Co. Make, people are going to complain, cause the Bears didn't adhere to their preferred opinion.

All that to say... I do not so much care as long as they are significantly better next year. Significantly.

There's a gazillion different ways this could all go in the preseason, but the bottom line is it ends up resulting in us being a better, stronger team, then I'm down with whatever transpires.

There's more to it than just drop %. How about the air yards, how about who is dropping it, or maybe where the ball is going, or maybe the checkdowns have great hands, aren't contested.

yeah, but you put chances in that mix and you see that the bears receivers were way down on the list. That looks like about half as many WR chances. You look at some of those throws Goff makes and its a receiver Fields moves on from. Cutler could have shattered bear records, but his option was high and away where his receivers had to leave their feet and get hammered on the way down so very few yards after catch.

No matter where we go from here there are always stats to back up excuses.

Seems like with Smith, the falcons wanted Daniels from LSU. Maye will probably be best numbers for passing in the combine. I dont think Williams will attend the combine, either because he is not getting paid for it, or the bears have not traded the pick so he has not committed to the draft. back field up with one of this years cast aways maybr?

The percentage of drops we had is also very low.......I just threw this out there because he completed 61.4 % of his passes this past season for about 22nd on the list.......
Plus that brought his career total to 60%.......
Travis Kelce had 3 alone on Saturday, but still 7 of 11 top teams made the playoffs......??

So anyone who blames dropped passes on our losses, need to take a look at other teams too.....
Dropped passes are a concern, but it happens more to other teams.......js

Or maybe dropped passes are dropped passes......us Bear fans have witnessed a few ourselves right in the hands of recievers that should have absolutley been caught.......
Dropped passes to you must not be a concern, but to me it can be a huge diifference maker.. ....especially when they are right in the endzone that could be game winners.......

Im throwing this out there because JFs Completion pct is one of those lowest in the league,so if said reciever catches those the balls, his % I would think does not rises all that much.......

A dropped pass is a dropped pass no matter who is catching the ball or how far.......
Last I knew they all get paid to do a job.......
Some teams just have it worse than others......

Maybe the dropped passes seem more prevalent since the Bears attempted the 5th-lowest pass attempts. (Along with the 6th-lowest passing yards.)

Its the percentage of dropps......Bears were a top 6 team in percentage of dropped passes at 3.4 percent of Bear passes......sure other teams had more pass attempts, but its the % that was dropped.....
Kinda like pass completion %........JFs career total is at 60. something, and that doesnt matter how many times you throw the ball....

60 for 100,600 for a 1000,doesnt matter......it still doesnt matter how many times you throw it,it still equals 60%......

If you guys are satisfied with that as our starting qb,then ok,but I for one am not.....

I never saw dropped passes as fields issue. I never even saw throwing the ball his issue. He’s got a strong accurate arm. His problem is on the mental side.

I see a 60% completion %......good for 22nd.....is thst good??
I see a qbr of 46.1.....good for 23rd....is that good??
I see a rating of 86.3.....for 24th....is that good??

And then you look to see who is ahead of him: Dobbs- Minshew-Mayfield,I would like to think JF should be better than those three.....

The dropped passes is not a dig vs Justin, its a dig vs his completion pct.....
The lesser dropped passes helps that......
Dropped passes is a dig vs certain wrs( whoever does it the most) and our team in the won/loss catagory......
Because we have had some critical ones.....ones that were possibly game winning ones.
And all teams have them,we are just fortunate enough not have as many as the leaders......

Im curious to where we stand at passes 6-10,1-5 yards or less....

I really like Justin Fields. I think his potential to be way better than he's shown is there. I think he's been misused and poorly coached. And I think with the right coach and scheme he'd be dangerous. All that being said...it is painfully obvious that trading him and drafting a QB #1 is the right thing to do.

For starters....thanks to the sheer number of teams that want a new QB you can probably get more than Fields is worth right now. You might even be able to con a team out of their first round pick.

And you just don't find yourself in situations like this very much. A chance to reset on the fly and still be a playoff contender next season. Poles has so much as his disposal that he can truly turn this franchise around this offseason. To ignore that would be silly.

With the Bears cap situation, their draft picks, and the draft class coming out....this is an amazing time to be alive for Poles. I sadly have the feeling they will find ways to fuck it all up. But the oppurtunity is there to do something great.

I sure hope so. I personally like the Raiders options if they put Crosby in the mix. I just wonder how soured the rest of the league is for this guy who shits the bed against top 25 teams. I want a break from the QB excuses. Maybe its time to follow the packers and let the pick sit for 3 years. Seems to work well for them. You just know we take a QB first and the QB1 and franchise references start and he has to play right away. I guess we can hate Stroud for making it happen out of the gate.
