so I assume we are done
I would like to think they are continuing to shop Choo and Minor, but something tells me not expect anything to happen on those two fronts.

There is some thought that teams are waiting on Harper and Machado to sign and Minir could be the consolation prize.

Me-It could happen if Phillies miss out but surely would not bet even money on it

That doesn't seem like much of a consolation. I would think a team could get Minor and one of those other much more expensive players if they wanted Minor.

Having a much cooler park to play in was supposed to help us sign free agent pitchers. Will the turf hinder us in signing position players, especially outfielders? Will there be enough concerns about their health to make them not want to play on turf?

For sure! It is definitely going to hinder signing top FA players. Completely ridiculous

I guess it could be argued that they purposely designed a stadium so that it is difficult to grow grass so that they would have an excise to go the cheaper route.

Now they also have a reason for top free agents to not sign here which will give them a cheaper payroll as well.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

First the heat. Now the turf. What is next? Not buying it if the money is there.

I don't think there will be a problem in regards to position players. And there are so many more position players to be had between the minors, those on the roster and those who could be picked up thru trades or signing. A quality pitcher is much tougher to be had.

Have to think in our technologically advanced society things have progressed so that injury due to the turf will not be an issue.

If not then it is purely an economic reason for no real grass and would be sad despite the publicized struggles to grow under dome

They've always had trouble getting a quality pitcher to come here.

Very glad football is mercifully over.

Quite a yawnfest not much different than some may consider this offseason has been. Go Rangers
