Herrera is the only outfielder hitting over .200. Pathetic is too nice of a word for this travesty.
Time to play Ruf in left field since Mack is starting Howard against everyone. When Ruf gets bench rot
he needs time to get his timing back. We need some power in the lineup in order to score more runs!

I suppose Goeddel will get his chance but so far he seems overmatched, maybe even a little wimpy.

I think this outfield thing with play out in a good way. It's still early, obviously, but Mackanin won't tolerate the current situation for an extended period - Hunter 2/21 and Bourjos 2/24. Ruf's only been able to go 1/7 scattered over six games so hasn't been able to continue what he did in ST, 16/56 or .286. So Ruf will be in the OF soon, and then Altherr when healthy, and maybe Williams will get their shots as the thing develops.
