Goeddel is a rule 5 so they can't really do that. I think they should just play him for a while instead of Hunter or Buriss and if they decide he is not that good just offer him back to his former team.Phils' outfield is hitting .142 or 9 for 63. Two choices. Let lead-foot Ruf play or demote Goeddel and bring up Nick Williams. This may be too hasty but they may do it after a month or two, especially if Williams is hot.

Ok, that's a good story. I'm now ranking him ahead of Emmanuel Burriss and Peter BurjoisActually, it seems like the Phils might be more patient with Hunter this season. The guy is 28 but has had four very good years in AAA/AA and was ignored by SD, getting into only 6 games in 2011:
2012 .268/.355 5 HR
2013 .295/.344 12 HR
2014 .295/.386 14 HR
2015 .283/.331 12 HR
