I have the 2nd pick.... I am not taking Trout (assuming he doesn't go 1)... Is he worth the pick?
I know Trout is fantastic and all but I just for some reason am expecting a drop off this year. Can't truly explain why, just a gut feeling. I'm sure I'm 100% wrong but Im not going to take him 2nd if he's available
How many OFs do you start, how many pitchers do you start??
5 OFs
9 Ps (SP and RP - No distinction)
With 5 OF I prefer an of(trout or Harper).
Your not wrong to draft goldy. But I think the of has more value.
Who's your 4th guy milk?
Trout without stealing bases is much less the fantasy superstiud he once was. Unless he keeps hitting 40+ homers every year.
Egh.Harper, trout,goldy and Kershaw.
Trout might not steal anymore, but he is as safe as it comes to .290BA,.390OBP, 30 HRs. At this point you are paying for safety on him. And that is just as valuable.
Egh.
It is a common misconception, you don't need the best player in the first round. All you need is someone who has top 20 value at the end of the season. You don't win or lose because of your best player(Bonds was an exception) you win or lose because of your weaker starters.
My 5 is Stanton. And then I think there is a HUGE drop in value.
I disagree. You reach in the first round and grab a guy who doesn't perform, or breaks, and you're more or less fucked.
I get the feeling a lot of people are going to get more or less fucked by taking Stanton early. The guy mashes, but he's also a one-man MASH unit.
Would not touch Stanton personally. My 5 is Stanton. And then I think there is a HUGE drop in value.
Would not touch Stanton personally.
Weren't you just advocating safe picks?
