This feels similar to the Pospisil hearing, time to give a young guy a few games to cool his jets...

NHL: "Kid, we can't have you running around recklessly and endangering everyone on the ice with you. That kind of violence is not good for the game"
Rempe: "Then why is every second of the media coverage about me praising me for it?"

Bettman telling Bill Daly what he said to Rempe

Chuck Knox, that's good. I played hockey against Murray Craven growing up, does that count?

/You could tell even at a young age that he was going to be a pretty good hockey player.

I do love the hypocrisy of Rangers Twitter fawning over and defending this guy after years of calling for Tom Wilson to get the death penalty.

Well, there's comedy along with little athleticism and intellect when it comes to that fanbase :D

A future 2X NBA champ was in college the same time I was. He was easy to see in the hallways at 7 feet.

Speaking of expansion, I watched a youtube video last night that claimed that Stan Kroneke (current owner of the Avs) is looking to bring a NHL team to San Diego. I don't think it's worth posting because it was just a bunch of guys spitballing.

I hope the Preds find a way to bring him up for a game or two before the season ends.

Even if they have to bench Jankowski

I honesty am starting to worry about the future of small market Canadian teams for a number of reasons, but key among them is that guys don't want to play in smaller Canadian markets. I can easily see in 10-15 years time that there are 36 teams in the NHL, but only three of them in Canada (Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver).

easiest fix is to increase the cap for canadian teams to compensate the tax problem. doesnt help small owners much but I dont see how else to level that playing field.

same as lowering the cap for florida teams :)
