Sorry 'bout yer luck, friend. We (Ohio) totally lucked out, the mass that hit Kentucky literally ended right before the Ohio River; barely got anything yesterday

Sounds like heaven.................if you're an 8 year old who's seeing snow for the very first time. Not so much fun if you're the father or mother of said 8 year old though.

I'm about 30 miles west of DC. It's hard to tell how much snow. At least 2'. But the winds are blowing 30-40mph which is causing huge drifts. My driveway is about 1/3 mile so I've got a days worth of work to plow it out. You can't push snow this deep, you have to scoop it up and dump it.

My neighbor and I have the same philosophy, shoveling driveways is for suckers. If you have a 4 x 4 you simply drive up and down the driveway, packing down the snow so you can get out. I just got done with my first shift, went well and I got out to the road with about 14" of snow down. My neighbor on the other hand backed up too far last night and his Jeep is hanging off the edge of his driveway hanging off a hill. I guess by spring I'll help him get it out.

You're in Redskin country j_y. You guys got bombed. So far we got 7" here in southern MD. I have been out running around in the Jeep and playing in the snow. Guy across the street has about 20 acres and a big tractor. He plowed the next door neighbors driveway. He doesn't plow ours. I am thinking he is someone from this forum that I pissed off. My little sis has all the important supplies (translation -liquor and snacks) and is having a snow party in Bethesda. Bacon, chocolate chip pancakes, eggs and mimosas started her day with a few friends staying at the place since the house has a generator on hand. Still snowing and expected to continue thru the evening.

Thanks. Fortunately I have a good size tractor with a loader on the front. It's just going to take me a while. But the wind is still wild spo I have to wait until it dies down. We now are over 30". My dogs are looking at me like I'm crazy when I kick them out to take care of business.

Yeah, I shoveled a little runway for my little dog and we only have 7 or 8 inches. What's up with the women and nekkid men during a snow storm. One of my motorcycle/Jeep buddies in PA posted a picture of a guy wearing angel wings and a bare butt.
