Washington is hoping the week off will help build a strong end for the season, as their most recent outing was a 30-point loss to the Miami Dolphins. The Commanders have lost four in a row and are all but out of the playoff race, so the final weeks will be crucial to whether Ron Rivera will remain the head coach next season, although fans/ supporters and followers are convinced that this will be his last at the helm of the team. There’s plenty of chatter going on in the Nation’s Capitol concerning what constitutes a strong end for the season defined by one side as winning out and the other as losing out to improve or maintain the current fourth selection in the upcoming draft.

It was a heartbreaking loss for the Rams in Week 14 after they were able to take the Baltimore Ravens to overtime before losing on a walk-off punt return touchdown. Still, Los Angeles is in the running for a playoff spot, and another winning streak could begin back at home this week.

Stafford is a perfect 5-0 against the Commanders in his career, all of which came as a member of the Lions. His most recent game against Washington was in 2020, a 30-27 victory by the Lions where Stafford had three touchdown passes and no interceptions.

In those five games, Stafford has thrown for 1,380 yards with 11 touchdown passes and two interceptions. His passer rating is an impressive 99.8 and he's averaging a healthy 7.46 yards per attempt against Washington.

The Commanders vs Rams game on Sunday is an interesting matchup between two teams with different trajectories. The Rams (6-7) are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive after a thrilling overtime loss to the Ravens, while the Commanders (4-9) are looking to snap a three-game losing streak and spoil the Rams’ chances. Washington pulls off an upset in a barn burner, final score 35-31. Howell throws for over 300 yds with 3 TD passes. He also runs one in. However, the player of the game is Terry Mclaurin. 10 receptions, 150+ yards an 2 TDs. Memorial play will be a fake punt pass for a big gain and sets up the winning TD. The calls already begin for tress way to be given a shot at QB.

oh yeah, this could happen.
