The Washington Commanders are far out of playoff contention, but they have a chance to play spoiler on Sunday against their biggest rival.
Following the Dallas Cowboys' controversial win on Saturday night against the Detroit Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles' shocking loss to the 3-12 Arizona Cardinals at home, America's team is in pole position in the NFC East with a week to go.
But the Cowboys have reclaimed control of their destiny and only the Commanders stand in their way.

Dallas with a win claims the number two ranking in the conference and valuable home dates during the playoffs. Washington on the other hand, is in a very good position to solidify their hold on the number two pick in the upcoming NFL draft with a loss.
The Commanders are limping to the finish line of the regular season with 7 straight losses. Washington lost 27-10 in Week 17 to the NFC’s top-seeded 49ers. They did not cover the spread as a 14-point underdog and failed to reach the total of 48.5. QB Sam Howell passed for 169 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 INT. The Commanders have moved up the draft board to where they could clinch 2nd overall pick in 2024 with a loss to the Cowboys. All indicators point to a fairly easy Dallas win but in the Nations Capital, few will allow themselves that final relaxing exhale until the final second ticks away and...
