Cowboys still have not beat a team with a winning record. An absolute embarrassment of a team. As long as we get guys like Howard back soon then I have no doubt that the Eagles will win the wild card playoff game in Philly, especially if DeSean is back by then.

Like it matters. The NFC East is a also ran division this season. It's not like the Eagles have looked good, or the Giants, or the Redskins. At least the Cowboys can still claim first place in the division and has beat every team in the division head to head.

I hold no judgment here. I was a huge advocate for my Seahawks in 2010 when we were 7-9 yet we won the division.

You win the division, you get an automatic playoff berth IMO

It'll spark up a debate about playoff seeding again when you see a 13-3 or 12-4 Seahawks/49ers team have to go away to play an 8-8 Cowboys/Eagles team but I'm still fine with the system as it is as things like that are more aberrations and not the normal when it comes to the playoffs.

I'm cool with the set up as is even if it means playing on the road in the playoffs.

These dumb threads happen every year. Bottom line is that the NFL divisional system is good. It ensures that regular season games matter and divisional rivalries persist. I for one look forward to the Philly-Dallas game that will likely decide the division. And I think whatever team gets in to the playoffs could scare some teams.

I think the last time that happened was when the 7-9 Seahawks hosted the saints. The nfc east winner this year won't be 8-8.

Judge with no judgment????

But I was kidding. Mostly just laughing at that pile of shit division. Its not just that they suck, they can't even win the occaisional quality game.(except philly who has 1). Having said that, while the Saints were 11-5 that year. We are looking at the strong liklihood of the East hosting a 13-3 team. Thats insane.

And considering the NBA is currently talking about reseeding and then also considering the fact that no days there seems to be a new sports rule change every year when some team gets screwed. I could see this being something that does end up blowing up.

THe Eagles are an injured mess.
They played 3 new receivers, 2 new running backs, and 2 new offensive linemen alone last game vs Seattle.

They are signing dudes off the street and cancelling practices because no depth to practice.
When they are "relatively healthy" they can beat teams like Green Bay and Buffalo on the road.

If they can A) get healthy AND B) get into the playoffs, they will be a tough out.
Unlikely for either to happen as the injury report still looks awful for them.

I would be cool with all division winners getting in the playoffs, but seeding them by records only.

Mehhh it's the same thing almost every year. But in the end someone has to win the division.

In Dallas. Let's see what happens in Philly, because that probably determines who wins the division.

Either way, both teams are playing to be the first eliminated from the playoffs at the current rate.
