Getting used to be people getting cute and picking the Lions for the NFCN.

But you went and got super cute by picking the Bears?!?! Now that is going out on a limb.

They are still likely a terrible football team. Making progress. But still not there.

The NFCN and NFCS are likely competing for worst division

Yes...yes, they are.
Wasn't sure if these were reposted from some other site.

My only changes to your rankings would put Miami & Minnesota a little higher. Overall its pretty good though!

I don't get the Saints hype

They got ( maybe ) moderately better at QB

They got substantially worse on D

I don't see how that translates from 7 wins to 11

Not to homer ( but I'm going to homer )

Atl is clearly the best roster on that division now after this offseason

Adding on defense

Bates
Dupree
Campbell
Onyemata
Ellis
Flowers
Okudah

Then drafting probably the best overall football player in the draft

Getting Pitts back

If Ridder is even just average Atlanta should win the division easily

If he's better than average then they could be a real threat in the NFC

From a completely rational perspective on offense ATL has the best RB group on the division by a lot, the best OL on the division by a lot, the best TE group on the division by a lot

If the D is as improved as it looks on paper then it's a wrap

Could be the Falcons year. I have a hard time seeing NOLA get 8 wins.

Better play the season cause few things seem as they are in camp.

We've seen this scenario before imo. Tennessee stunk with Mariota and then when they inserted Tannehill into a system where the QB really just had to not stink then all of a sudden the Titans were really good. In theory, being a QB in ATL should be easier than with most other teams. ATL runs the ball more than anyone. Atlanta, like Tennessee before them, has been bad for a couple of seasons and stocked up on young talent.

That said, if you were ranking Ridder as a QB before the season starts then where is he? 30th best QB? 35th? 40th? I'd agree with you in that if you think Ridder goes top 16 then they win the division. Probably easily. Waiting on a QB is rough, though.

Sure but the reality is that there's not another good QB in the South

Mayfield is no good
Going is a rookie with no WRs

Carr is likely the best and he's what? 18th-22nd Best WB on the league?

So i don't think Ridder even needs to be top half

If he's 20-24 that's good enough given the roster disparity between ATL and the other teams imo

NFC South and AFC South.
If TEN falls back then this could be true but Indy is always scrappy. JAX will win the division and TEN somehow wins games every year.

Lions and Bears are getting a lot of hype.

Lions, unlike the Titans are talented with that talent extending to the offensive line.

I do think its weird that Andy Dalton and Sam Darnold weren't actually all that bad last year on teams that weren't that good. Its possible that the Saints and Panthers get decent QB play and still are kinda average. Especially since the Panthers lost their best WR.

There is more upside in the Falcons imo if they actually figure out how to pass. Although if we're using our imagination then the Bucs probably have the most upside if they figure out how to run.

I'd imagine if I was a Falcons fan I'd be really confident about the season.

I think just being practical of you look at every position group on every team in the division one could easily argue ATL has the 2 best on offense ( OL and RB ) and the best on D with their DTs

And when you look at every group and rank them in the division ATL is probably 1 or 2 in

OL 1
RB 1
TE 1
DL
S
ST 1

QB is undoubtedly the biggest question mark which normally is a really bad deal but the QB position in general on the division is so bad i just don't think the disparity is going to be that much

And they're not last in anything which you can't say about any of the other 3 teams

Record breaking year for the Eagles, 10 first team All Pros, 700 points scored, 100 points allowed, 20-0 record with a 50+ blow out Super Bowl win. All debates about greatest team will be put to be rest. Yet, still Eagles fans will persist on that the Eagles are not getting enough respect.
