FWIW, my ballpark guess on the Roog suspension is 5-10. My gut says 8 games.

Some prognosticators are suggesting this could set a new precedent. I'm leaning a bit more towards 10 now.

The precedent should be set about the rule change and the take out slide, if that is what they are trying to remove from the game. Habitual offenders should receive harsher punishments. Punching someone in the face over almost getting your ACL, MCL and everything else in your knee blown up, isn't really an overreaction to me and seems rather warranted. Someone should have punched Utley in his face when he started the season with an illegal slide, after breaking a guys leg last year.

It is a mistake by Manfred and the league not to punish him to a bit of an extreme to set the precedent in the first place IMO. Dont make the players police this stuff themselves, if you don't want more of this stuff like Odor did yesterday. I was also surprised a teammate didnt take get to Utley, for that stuff as well.

Very cool to see basically everyone but blow jays and Schoenfield (who is clearly a nerd who has never played at anything resembling a serious level) see this for what it is and backing the Rangers and odor.

I'm just not convinced. I guess it's possible he may have taken it upon himself in an attempt to gain favor in his new clubhouse, but I really don't believe it was ordered from the dugout.
