So where do college coaches come from?High school coaches havent had the most success when moving up to college. I dont know if I can see more than 2 wins for them again.

Thats my point. They dont just start in college, or jump from pop warner, they come from high school. If UNLV didnt have such a fuck OOC schedule, I would be more excited, but I see some serious ass whoopins early.Art Briles, Gus Malzahn, and Hugh Freeze were high school coaches not all that long ago. Those dudes have done well. Briles is an amazing coach, easily one of the best in the business, and Malzahn is an offensive genius.
College coaches more often come from college. Graduate assistants to assistant position coaches to position coaches to coordinators to coaches. its a much more common path.So where do college coaches come from?
I like your all-conference picks by the way, Oly. I'll try to get mine out at some point when I have a moment. One thing to note is that JoJo Natson, the stud return man and all-purpose guy has been kicked off of Utah State's team for a series of infractions over the years. They finally had enough and gave him the heave ho. They didn't specify as to the exact reason which is typical, but evidently they had experienced problems with him for a long time and the icing on the cake was his decision to steal/divert scholarship funds that were intended to go to one of his teammates. Sounds like a real quality guy, well more like an idiot. He was supposed to be a senior this coming season. You'd think he would have grown up by now, but he may just be a bad human being in general.
I get that, but like I said, Gorman isnt just an average high school program, and he brought boosters with him. Its a little different in many waysCollege coaches more often come from college. Todd Dodge was at South Lake Carroll in Tx won 4 state titles in 7 years and then he never won more than 2 games in a season at North Texas.I get that, but like I said, Gorman isnt just an average high school program, and he brought boosters with him. Its a little different in many ways
