Okay, so here we are back to baseball. I think most of you know the rules if not please see the rules thread in the mock draft forum.

We will draft 2 players from every decade 1920 - 2010 for a total of 20 players.

A players decade is determined by the year they first appered in the Majors.

Example for batters 1 AB for pitchers 1/3 inning pitched. When each player had their 1st AB or pitched their first 1/3 inning the year that happened is the year you will use to determine their decade.

A player must have at least 486 starts at a position for you to use him there.

You can select an additional player for 5 decades of your choosing BUT these players must be selected after the original 20 have been selected. The additional picks must be 1 INF 1 OF 3 RP's

OK, I think I know the answers, but let's clarify for new guys.... Decade will be based on their Rookie season? If so, understand guys like Babe Ruth, who played all of the 20's and half the 30's are ineligible. Also, Negroponte league players, yay or nay?

For instance.... In the NBA draft, a guy like Kareem may have played in 3 different decades. It was determined that the year a player was drafted was the decade they represented. That wouldn't work in MLB, so I was asking if their Rookie season was the decade, or if playing in that decade were enough, which would put the Ruth's, Cobbs, and Walter Johnson's back in play

I looked at rules and just saw time restraints. Much has changed in the three weeks since I last participated.

We do need to talk about what will count as their rookie season. Should we make it simple and say 1 AB or 1/3 IP qualifies that year as their rookie season?

If its rookie year, Id think first appearance would be best. Pinch run or defensive replacement even. Just to be simple and straightforward.

Hate to say this but I feel we should wait till February 2nd to start. The reason we got the increase in Vcash was because we only do 1-2 drafts a month. We now completed 2 drafts in January so far.
