Getting over $4 mil for assistants is big. They can't compete for the West division paying less than that. Ideally, it should be closer to $5, though, but I believe the bump puts them in line with Wisconsin, Iowa, and maybe a tad below Nebraska.

You must not know I'm a Husker fan. We just lost to Purdue with a $5mm staff. Purdue had won 2 games before that game.

Our coach makes $5mm a year. Every year we've been in the B1G we've had the highest rated recruiting class in the west. Our scoring defense is rated somewhere in the 70's our scoring offense is similarly ranked. They shouldn't be this bad. That is the truth.
