I am sure some idiot in here will say something stupid to belittle the accomplishment rather than give credit where its due, but thats just the way it is in here : With the win last night, Spo got win #350 in his 557th game. Riles didnt do it until game 606th for him.

Oh btw, seems like results are going in favor of the Heat so far . They will yet again live to die another day - and again do well on a night they didnt even play

Problem is the pro-pick crowd acts like this is rebuilding team w no talent. Pick or not they'll be fine long term.

Will Manso added,

Erik @ffCordo
@WillManso I feel like the #HEATLifer in me wants them to get a lottery pick and be more competitive long term rather than being an 8 seed

From WIll Manso of Local 10 - Miami. Can often just spit out a bunch of negative BS - but he is on point here

If I'm understanding all the tiebreaker scenarios correctly, as long as the Pacers lose today, we would have to finish 8th or 10th, correct?

Coin flip will be decide the 10th pick if Indy lose tonight and tomorrow, we beat Philly, and Brooklyn beats Orlando.

We really need Indy to win.

Brooklyn isn't losing to Orlando

If brooklyn actually played a good team needing to win tomorrow as Indy is, I would not be rooting for Indy to eliminate us tonight but I feel like tomorrow could be a shitty night for us we would beat Philly, miss the playoffs, and our top 10 pick will be decided by a coin flip

These 3 games are the reasons we're not in the playoffs.

A couple of those losses were a result of Diva Wade settling for jumpers - go figure

A couple for sure were, but we lost a whole lot more than a couple.

Trying to lay direct blame on any 1 or 2 things as being the reason we are where we are is just stupid.
I'm surprised you aren't blaming Battier.

We just had a shitload of unfortunate events happen in the last 9 months.

That being said, we had a couple of very fortunate things happen and our immediate future looks quite bright.

I swear I enjoyed this regular season more then the previous 2.

Heat to start Zoran Dragic, Tyler Johnson, Henry Walker, Michael Beasley, James Ennis. I was right!

Per Ira Winderman

You know times have changed, brief as the moment may be, when the Heat are tanking

I swear I enjoyed this regular season more then the previous 2.

As did I - as I said many times during the season. It was humbling. The two championships in this era were great - But failing to win one last season and the first season of the big 3 era should serve a reminder to those players who were on the team those seasons and fans, especially the bandwagoners - and anyone that thought that taking some regular season games for granted wouldnt hurt their chances of winning a title those seasons as much as it went on to do so. Just maybe if we didnt choke last season in the finals, we would have had the same squad or at least a bigger part of it still together.

But it is what it is. Diva has another year at best left in him - if he thinks he has more left in him -- he better accept a lesser role. Beyond him - we still have enough pieces to build around in the future - We should not really consider valuing the draft more - selecting better players at our given spot when they are available - And if you look back at some of the last few draft for the Heat - no knock on Ennis or Napier - But there was a lot better guys out there we couldve taken. Again, no knock on Napier - The kid is a winner since college - But there is better talent to be had.

That sets Heat record with 31 different starting lineups,

Heat not declaring Wade, Goran, Whiteside, Birdman or Deng out, but you basically can read the writing on the lottery wall.

Per Ira Winderman

Regardless of not having anything to play for, the Heat should still be going for the win - end the season on a good note - at least try. Point is, Diva, Goran, Whiteside, Birdman or Deng shouldnt be declared out - maybe play them minimal minutes .

And now Ira says Hassan is in fact declared out.
