BTW, since there did not seem to be much interest, I wont be doing a stand alone blog this week. I'll just use the daily thread to post in, in hopes that some of you find my observations interesting.

touchdown in phoenix at 11:40 a.m, and made it to Peoria for the kc /padres game at 1. life is good. 85, and not a cloud in the sky.

spring break. why in the hell would I be up before noon unless im taking breakfast shots.

ian kennedy pitching for the pads today. not impressive at all. very hittable. 3-0 royals now. sally perez scored on a sac fly, but should not have, as venable dogged his throw in to allow the run.

Not too surprising about Kennedy. He's been getting lit up all spring, picking up where left off the past two years. Not saying that he will never be the pitcher he was a few years ago, but he hasn't shown much to suggest he'll do that.

Another inning & kennedy is in trouble again. I have not really followed him just yet, but if today is any indication, he may not have a spot in the pads rotation. He did just get butler to hit into a double play, but still. kenndy done. 3 2/3 i.p, 3 runs, I think all earned. Robbie Erlin in now.

& yonder hit one WAY over yonder, about 420 tocenter. no doubter. grandal follows with a single, so maybe so life for the Pads. Jason Vargas has been the KC starter, and he was cruising through 4.

So much for Vargas. Blanks, hitting for the pitcher, his a 400footer to left. 4-3 royals, bottom 5.
