Series Thread: Joc Pederson versus Kris Bryant

Or at least that's what the narratives would have you believe. You know, because Kris Bryant is the only big name rookie on the Cubs this year...

The Dodgers actually have good starters for this series so they'll probably win it.

Game 1: Clayton Kershaw versus Who Cares?
Game 2: Zack Greinke versus Who Cares?
Game 3: Mike Bolsinger versus Christina Hendricks
Game 4: The Guy That Should be in AAA versus Jon Lester

The Cubs are a bit overrated this year, but there's no denying the fact that they're going to be really good really soon. Russell, Soler, Rizzo, and Bryant are all legitimately talented AND young AND cheap. Baez is probably legit, too. They're probably a better young core of talent than Martin/Kemp/Ethier/Loney.

Missed a nice opportunity with lefty leaving early. Travel day, happens. Greinke is nails and we've had good history hammering the Hammer.

This team is kind boring and lifeless recently. I wouldn't mind Seager time soon, probably won't happen. Ugh.

What worries me are the games lost to the Giants and the Greinke starts that have been wasted. We are setting up a lot woulda, coulda, shoulda as we get to the midway point.

Going to be an interesting next two months.
