Is Sanchez getting cut?

Normally when you have a QB battle and one guy doesn't play in the 3rd Preseason game it means they don't see him making the team. But with Sanchez being the only veteran on the team do the Broncos really want to go into the Regular season with only a 2nd year QB and a Rookie backing him up?

My guess is he is not making the team unless he takes a pay cut. We could also see that maybe the Broncos saved him from getting hurt so that they could trade him this week to a team like the Cowboys who just lost Romo for a while. Gets us not only our 7th round pick back but could net us another draft pick. Plus saves us some very nice cap space.

Yeah - the Sanchez is getting cut - it is the only reasonable managerial reaction to the situation. I hope he sticks around - if it goes like last season - he will get his chance if he signs on again.

I also - like the idea CD floats above about trading him to the Cowboys.

It is really an interesting study to see how Kubiak brings his team along. Last night was plain vanilla Offense - and Defense for the 1s. Clearly - the Broncos are saving something up for the Panthers. Still it was like many games last year - where the Broncos played offensively - just good enough to win. Rightfully so - Kubiak believes getting his team ready for the playoffs is more important that getting it ready for the regular season.
