Glad the "they are contenders" knob gobblers ate shit. The Blues had so much go right this season on all levels it's not even funny.

Having a career 15-18 goal scorer hit 30, having third liners perform like second liners, etc. That doesn't fly in the playoffs and I honestly think they did not need to make a move for Miller, he cost them so much in assets and he looked extremely average in net. I didn't see too many big saves or game changers.

Should be interesting to see if he resigns in St. Louis. I think he will, he's a competitor and has something to prove.

I'm not so sure he'll stay in St. Louis. This is his big chance for the big payday and someone is bound to make the offer. Pittsburgh, if Fleury can't get the Penguins through this year's playoffs to the Eastern Conference finals at minimum, is a possibility. Then there's always Philadelphia where all good goalies go to die.

Halak was fine and they gave up Stewart. All the hype with Jaybo, Miller and fuck face Ott was enough for me to want to see them lose. Probably downhill from here for that franchise and the moves they made

Halak was not fine, he couldn't get it done in the playoffs. Neither could Elliott. They were products of their system, and if the system ain't broke, why change it? I think other changes needed to be made before making a move for Miller, like acquiring a legitimate first line player. None of their first liners would be first liners on most NHL teams.

Stewart sucked man, trust me I know - I had him in the FHL LOL. He had a decent 2 week stretch in February or so and that was about it. I didn't want to trade him, he showed a lot of promise with Colorado and even his first year in STL and I was banking on a resurrection, but he was nothing short of the toilet in 2013-14. They made the right move, he may become a dominant power forward again in the future, but he isn't there now.

Who wants to bet me next season Steen tops out at 17 goals?

Most goalies cant get it done in the playoffs, its not like Miller has been able to win while having some good teams in front of him either. Stewart sucked but he gave em some goals, he isn't any kind of answer but neither is Miller. Halak/Elliott would have taken this team just as far as Miller did.

I relate the Blues to Vancouver downfall. Regular season success, fail in big games in the playoffs. The rotating goalie situations, etc.....

It doesnt really help that the Blues have to play another contender each playoffs. Kings Twice and then the Hawks.

I never got why Kings fans hate the Blues so much. They are built a lot like the Kings and I actually really enjoy watching them play. I was hoping they would move on this year since the Kings likely won't come back from 3-0. Blues have a lot of likeable players like Backes and Oshie.
