Flyers vs Pens last game of the season. Might be for the final playoff spot.

The Christmas swing is actually a smaller road trip - normally it's 5-7 games, but it's only four - I guess the two four game trips to Western Canada and then the one with Colorado and Arizona in it makes up for it

I've thought of maybe going to the Black Friday game against Lavi and the Preds - we'll see - tix are always expensive but maybe with the team laying in the weeds right now, it could come somewhat cheaper

It's a rough first 7 games. We had a terrible record against that group last season and it obviously includes the defending Cup champs and eastern conference champs.

As much as I'd like to say we'll learn quickly what we have with this team, these guys are wildly inconsistent and you just never know until the season is in the books.

They actually did well against top teams early in the season but then they started to be inconsistent

The real challenge will be the Western Canadian trip, they have to get some wins out of that - three of those four teams made the playoffs and the other team is going to have a nice, new shiny toy to play with

Overall, we did well against winning teams, but only 5-10-2 against that particular group. We lost to Boston, Chicago, Tampa and Florida all in the first few weeks last season.

Some good news

Now that Zach Kassian is on Montreal,I'll be getting tickets from him to see the Flyers vs Habs.(My wife use to babysit him).

He's gonna give my son( a Habs fan-fell far from the tree-lol) a signed jersey too.
