Greg Dobbs is still playing baseball??? Wow, that's good to see. He must love the game- because he surely isn't doing it for the money with those big social security check he has coming in

The guy with the question has a Red Sox and Cubs avatar for whatever that is worth. Don Kessinger?

I've never heard of the guy, but I enjoyed guessing guys from the '70s who never played second or first base so way to fuck that up

Most everyone ends up playing first base at some point

Yeah even Ibanez made it into first in that 16 inning game against the 'Stros back in '10 or '11

Former Phillies player, Gregg Jeffries.

DING DING DING...very good!
I think the Mets messed up by not getting him in the majors sooner, but a lot of his teammates thought he just didn't have the right personality and work ethic to be a major star.

Even Joe DiMaggio...surprised the Bosox never put Ted there. Think he didn't want to do it, but he must have been about as good an OFer as prime of his career Greg Luzinski when he got near 40.

Yeah, with all of his knee problems there was always speculation about Utley moving to first base eventually. Except I think he might be too intense to play first. First basemen are supposed to be big, friendly guys that talk to the opposing players when they get on base. Utley would probably be trying to get them with the hidden ball trick or something.
