What prediction did you make?

On the ESPN thread I predicted after our 6 game losing streak in June that after the A's/Cards series we would be 8 games out of first. I was dead wrong and glad.

Nationals shaking things up as this shows from Rotoworld.com

According to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post, the Nationals have fired hitting coach Rick Eckstein.

Rick Schu, the organization's minor league hitting coordinator, has been promoted to fill the vacancy. Eckstein was in his fifth season as Washington's hitting coach and will now play the role of scapegoat for the club's 48-50 start to the 2013 campaign. He is the older brother of former major league shorststop David Eckstein.

Rangers gonna wait until they fall back to 500 team before making a similar bold move?

We already fired two hitting coaches within the last year or so.

The "last month" also includes the sweep at St. Louis, series wins at NYY and versus Cincinnati. We are in a funk, but why overstate it in order to justify sweeping changes? The guys we have have already shown that they can bounce back from adversity. We're getting healthier and the FO seems to be looking for reinforcements. No need to panic, in my opinion.

Looks like a better lineup to me. Moreland is not hitting much now and Andrus in the 9-hole seems a little better too. The real lineup tonight looks like Wash decided to throw something against the wall to see what sticks. Sad thing is that even if Moreland hit 5 for 5 tonight and the team had 20+ hits Wash is almost 100% certain to change it again tomorrow.
