He's a career .300 hitter in the second half. I'd say that, coupled with the fact he's batting .318 since the break, is enough to assume that he can break out of his slump. It's not that difficult of a concept, he's got a track record for it and, so far, has lived up to that. He's been the second most unlucky player next to Adam Dunn this year based on his BABIP this year vs. career BABIP.

We've played 7 games since the break. Don't get too excited just yet. His babip sucks because his approach sucks.

I don't think it is, no. Again, his track record says he will. He may or may not, but until I see otherwise I'll stick with the stats.

People made a similar argument about young all year. That didn't turn out as planned.

Young was older and was trending that way going back the year prior. Just because one player didn't do it doesn't make it true for another player.
