Carolina hanging with 49ers!!!

Biggest surprise to me today was the Rams vs Indy. I knew Carolina had a good chance vs the Niners because the Niners haven't been challenged much the last month... Niners have physically dominated upfront and today they didn't have that advantage. Niners D played solid though.

I had a feeling all week that the Panthers would win that game. Not impressed at all with the sandy giners 5 game win streak against bad opponents.

Tough defenses seem to be giving Keap a lot of problems this year. We find ways to win the ugly games while SF let this ugly game slip away.

I read that Frank Gore lead the league in yards before contact last year, which shows that the 49ers line is VERY good at run blocking.

That said, I still agree with Doublejive that's it's surprising that SF was able to run the ball that well against Carolina. I probably wouldn't have predicted that Gore would get 5 yards per carry against that defense.
