Well of course there was the glaring one where the Cardinal player clearly went for Cam's knees while he is the pocket. There are definitely a lot more outside of the pocket. I think it's clear teams are headhunting for him.

I don't think I have ever watch a QB in the NFL play with as much physicality as Cam. He has no problem engaging with a defender and running him over. Yet he wants to be treated like he is a pocket passer?

It doesn't work that way. Change your game, Cam, if you want fewer hard hits.

When he's in the pocket he should get the same protection as every other QB, regardless of what he does when he's outside of the pocket. It's pretty clear that he hasn't gotten that from the officials numerous times.

I'm not going to claim to know whether Vick was getting blown up in the pocket or out of the pocket at that time, but it's not difficult to see that Newton has been hit in the pocket numerous times where it should have been flagged and it wasn't.

If there is a bias that is applied to "athletic" QB's that influences calls IN the pocket, then it needs to be addressed.
