Nash waived Gill to make room for Jones on the big club.

Haha. Did you know that Calgary offered their 6 for Read, Coburn and our 11? I did not know this, but if Jones was still available at 6, I'm curious if Homer would have considered doing it?

Tim Thomas is "intrigued" of the Flyers. Umm, no thank you sir. With the remaining goaltenders still available. I'm seriously still loving Halak guys. I don't want Thomas, Nabokov, nor Miller. Would Read be enough to pry Halak out of ST. Louis? I have no friggin clue what's going inside Homer's these days?

Letang is locked up for 8 yrs boys. No idea how the Pens can field a team w 3 players are over $7 + million alone. Something fishy going on cross state.

Good they're handcuffed. Looks great to their idiotic fans but they won't be able to field a solid roster now. Plus I think the tools such a liability in his own end his points don't make up for it. What a day!

TT would be interesting as it wouldn't shut the door on Mason but would be a nice safety net if he struggles next year. Plus he'd want revenge on the B's!

If they're going to pay anyone it better be G but I wish it were under 8M. Although if the cap goes up as the pens are expecting this may not be that bad down the road.

No way should G make as much as Crosby or Malkin? 8+ is absurd, no? I figured about 7.5 in that ballpark. Oh well, we need to extend him regardless.

Ok, upon further review w looking at Getzlaf and some of the other elite players around the league. I'm okay w this. I thought G was getting the same payday as Geno and Sid. I put G just under that level. $8 million is about right. I'm just glad we can put this behind and move forward w our goalie. Btw, I was under the impression Emery was going to resign w the Hawks. LeBrun is saying different. He's my top choice, although it sounds like TT may be coming to South Philly.

I'd have no problem if it were for 1 yr @ 2 mil with an option on a 2nd year.2 yr deal at most for no more than 2 mil per.

Giroux deal finalized. 8 years, 8.25. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan. Love Giroux, but I don't think he's worth that at this point. Hopefully he continues to improve.
