Sure. But not this one. This one was clean. Runner in field, even turns upfield and lowers his head to hit Minkah rather than step out of bounds.

If Fields wants to have a long and healthy career, he needs to avoid doing this.

Yeah I never made comment, or even thought of that hit because there was nothing wrong with that one. I was alluding more to the lack of roughing the passer call later in the game.
But do agree that is a young QB mistake exposing himself like that.

And on the Fitzpatrick note you have to give him credit late in the game as Fields was running out of bounds he let up totally. Very smart on his part because by that point, how bad the refs were, he would have been flagged.

Punishable offense, IMO, to make a call like that, basically changing possession of the ball at such a critical moment.

If there was any jawing, let it go. It wasn't like he was making a spectacle of himself.
Yeah, that was a bad look for officiating no doubt.. The hip check made it seem personal.

Serious question. Why have an NFL veiwing team in NY if they're not going to call the team ref mid game and tell him his team is fucking up.

They want to stop taunting. It is easy. Here is the fix: no penalty yardage which punishes everyone on the team for an act that had noting to do with the action of game; $100,000 fine; disqualification for the rest of the game: 1 game suspension without pay. The first time that is enforced will be the last time. However, if there is a second offense in the same game, all penalties doubled regardless which team is called for the taunting.
Second offense by the same player in any game, quadruple the penalty.
Problem fixed!

The NFL should publicly apologise for the officiating in this game.
They'll send the letter out to the team and let their PR put it out there. Can't remember the last time it happened.

Yah those replacement refs.... pffft THEY were the problem.... :rolleyes2: We CLEARLY needed the 'real' refs back. Maybe the replacement refs weren't fixing games the way the NFL owners wanted.
